Community Tasting Notes 2

April 24, 2022 - bottle 2. babied my palate all day and set this up for success by pairing with roast pork seasoned with fennel seed/oregano/garlic.

Nose: still great. perfuse. obviously ripe but very pretty enticing. and alcohol present alongside oxidation, but neither is a sore thumb. would peg as older ripe nebbiolo

Palate: absolutely nothing going on. nothing bad but that's it. no acid. dissolved tannin. indistinct ripe fruit. not flawed but not good!

food: knock yourself out! there's nothing to ruin :/ Agradolce is suggested. I changed my sauce to a glaze and threw on some spicy sauerkrat=win.

This performs better with something sweet/sharp enough make the wine shapen up on the palate.

February 11, 2022 - almost lost the cork! perfect condition bottle but the lower bit of the cork is well saturated and began to give.

beautiful translucent brown tinged with ruby. nose is intense and so perfect! rose, rich strawberry, anise and mature fruit. very clean but showing age. still has bite and verve! beautiful and looking forward to following this throughout the evening!

Palate on pnp is lacking compared to nose and color. alcohol also needs to blow off

Evening= now my palate is shot from dinner and all red wine tastes terrible. I should have just drank it at lunch ;) Still smells fantastic though!

day 2=calmed nose with dried orange and medicinal stuff standing out. the palate is still nothing crazy but acid and grip are still there providing a long mouthwatering presence. delicious but a bit hot and drinks/looks more advanced than necessary tbh. the nose is what this wine delivers
