    December 17, 2007 - A stunner. My notes indicate that this was the overripe ending to the Montebello vintage in 1979 (apparently there was no Montebello). Rusty red color, nose of roasted nuts, sherry, vanilla, and red fruits. Similar flavors, well integrated. Perfect as the cheese wine. Drink or hold.
