February 25, 2017 - Very fresh red crimson color; black pepper, smoke, mineral, lots of cherry mixed with some raspberry and plums, some herbaceous notes as well; soft and Burgundian on the palate, only grip seems to come from the smoldering mineral notes; an ever different yet delicious wine; sadly my last bottle.

February 13, 2017 - Lots of manure on nose. Blackberry and cassis fruit with good acidity that went well with steak and roasted tomatoes. Not super complex but it has softened nicely and very good. Improved over several hours. I think it could keep quite a bit longer.

December 27, 2016 - Tuesday Night Double Blind <$40 (Alpharetta, GA): Cloudy maroon core with light rim; hint of animale on nose, dark red fruit, a touch of nuttiness, slightly muddy nose, plum, high toned; velvety tannin, high acid, pepper, meat; delicious.

October 9, 2016 - Monthly Tasting Group: Northern Rhone (Tilia, Mpls): Very dark red/purple color. Drank 1 glass over 30 minutes. Same bottle as Chablis28. I agree with Chablis28 on his take. This felt youthful and a bit off kilter. Certainly it has potential and the given more cellar time, I think this will turn out to be very good. As it stands now, good, but a bit disjointed. I don't think it will ever rock your world but it should come into a better balance over a couple years. Though I would not expect this to be a long term ager.

October 9, 2016 - Score based on this drinking very young yet even at almost 10yrs old and a little out of balance right now. Decanted for 2-1/2 hours then back into btl and cork removed upon arrival at Tilia Minneapolis. Sat for at least 2 hours and warming up too much before we drank it. I forgot to check the Alc which was poking through. Part of the problem, my btl was THE very last btl we touched tonight and the chill I had given it had warmed up substantially by 8:30PMish. I don't like my red at nearing 70 degrees because it can shipft the Alc out of balance. I think the wine is well made and has potential but it showed very youthfully primary tonight. I won't touch my 2nd btl for another 5 years if I can be patient. This is about 50% of this wine will be. If you have them, wait at least 3 more years to try one.
