August 7, 2014 - Youwza. No petrol left on the nose. Big time white flowers, honey, and even lime on the nose. The palate is both palate coating and crystalline in feel. Clean and mouthwatering with some salinity and a very long finish. Amazing bottle.

April 4, 2014 - Dinner with Salil (Sun Wah BBQ, Chicago IL): Nose: There is a real high-toned nature to the nose with a lot of florals, nectarines, white peaches, apricots, and green apples. Though this shows more fruit, there is a very good mineral streak underneath.

Taste: Medium bodied with medium+ acidity. The acidity is still very noticeable, but it is refreshing at the same time. The feel is polished and deft with nectarines, white peaches, floral tones, minerals, and bits of apricots.

Overall: This was a beautiful Donnhoff. There is still a lot of youth and freshness to this, but it does show off the balance of some maturity.

April 3, 2014 - Just like my last bottle. Bright fruit and floral notes tinged with developing creaminess and gentle smoky elements. All too easy to drink with a really polished and graceful texture, and lively acidity beneath.

April 3, 2014 - Pizza with Salil & Summer (Matt & Summer's - Chicago, IL): Nose of peach and mango with some fresh petrichor tones. This had a definite creamy note on the palate - maybe a bit milky, but ultimately the creaminess was subtle. A deep wine with lots of white floral notes underneath the tropical fruits. Very good wine that had a lot of depth and character.

February 21, 2014 - Creamy nose with banana and peach. Soft, tasty - peach and tropical on the palate. Soft finish. Nose - 4.5/6, Palate - 4.5/6, Finish - 4.5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1/2 = 14.5/20.

(Donnhoff Schlossbockleheimer Kupfergrube Riesling Spatlese) Subtle nose of white flowers and a whiff of cherries. Outrageously complex palate with a beautiful viscous texture and a long meandering finish. The acid seems much more present than it did on release. It seems to have some of it's baby fat.

(Donnhoff Schlossbockleheimer Kupfregrube Spatlese) Dramatic nose of mashed nuts, kiwi, minerals, salt, white peach andcitrus. Very complex. Like concentrated and ripe lime juice on the palate with a hint of exotic orange citrus fruits with the famous as Mark Hanes calls it "the Donnhoff dissolve." Good, but not great. I was expecting more
