February 9, 2024 - Part of a 2019 Bedrock vineyard horizontal tasting. Much more tightly wound than the other wines (Once & Future, Limerick Lane, and Carlisle). This wine would have benefitted from 90 minutes of air, but regrettably I did not decant. Very structured with long tannins. Raspberry and blackberry fruit was there, but came through much more purely on day 2. Really enjoyed the black tea and savory notes.
January 21, 2024 - 2019s are coming into their own after not being very good in their youth. Missing the structure of the 2018s, but if a juicy Zin is what you’re looking for then there’s a lot to like here today.
January 2, 2024 - Pop and pour. Fresh but showing great depth and balance. Intense spice aromas and bright fruits but with an underlying brooding element. Goes down easy.
December 17, 2023 - Ruby red in color. Cherry and persimmon on the nose. Medium acidity w/ tannins consistent w/ young wine. Black currant and green pepper on the pallet. Solid red blend that can cellar for a while longer to soften.
September 2, 2023 - What a beautiful zon. Poised, elegant and delivers fruit.
July 7, 2023 - Very Good++. Had mostly on ~PnP with a group and it was really nice with tri tip, but a glass remaining for the following night showed more complexity and openness. I'd say give this a nice decant if drinking in the near term. Next bottle for me ~2027?

May 2, 2023 - Elegant. Deep lavender on the nose. Viscous, jammy blackberry fruit without feeling heavy. There's a spicebox quality, too. Long finish. Enjoy.
April 30, 2023 - Hit this with about two hours of air and it was in a very nice spot. Dark red fruit profile with complexity coming from a cab-like green/herbal note, along with a good dose of spice. Tannin is present but silky and unobtrusive. Acidity keeps it lively. This is lovely now but clearly will develop for years and years. I’ll save my other bottle for a bit but do not regret popping this cork one bit. 93-95.
April 9, 2023 - Dark garnet. Nice nose, spicy florals, vibrant dark fruit, hard cherry candy, red licorice, polished shoe leather. Smells great, nicely complex.
On the palate I notice a very spicy entry, about medium in body. Palate is a little more subdued than the nose but better with some air and with the bottle in the fridge for a bit to bring it down into the 50 degree raange.
March 15, 2023 - Nice structure, spicy. Slight bitterness on the finish. Very likely to improve with cellar time.
