December 20, 2014 - Decanted for an hour at home before taking to a restaurant. Wine was firm right out of the bottle with gritty tannins, but 2.5 hours after initial decant this was really hitting its stride. Dark blue/black fruits, beautiful aromatics, incredible 30-40 second finish.

December 6, 2014 - While approachable upon opening, this wine progressed from youthfulness to mature within a 5 hour decant (light sediment). Inky color, it possesses great aromas of fresh loamy forest floor after a fresh rain, dark fruit, currant. Tastes of dark fruit, hints of fig, plum, black pepper, chocolate, nutmeg. Nicely polished tannins in this full bodied wine that provided me a long mouthwatering finish. Near perfection over a great ribeye dinner with great friends.2 people found this helpful Comment

November 2, 2014 - Higher End Domestic Cabs (Edina Country Club, MN): Outstanding wine and a great future. Dark. Blueberries, dark cherries, violets chocolate and oak. A bit hot but that blew off. Very concentrated and intense, long finish. Decanted six hours and needed all of that. Hold for five plus and enjoy.

November 2, 2014 - High End Napa Cabs - Blind (Edina Country Club, Edina, MN): Purple red color. Decanted for 6 hours. drank 2 glasses, the first blind, over 3 hours. Great wine, great nose, very balanced, The nose has the big black fruits along with the blueberry notes, earth, violets. The palate is full bodied, concentrated, deep and lush but not over the top, blueberry, blackberry, cassis, cedar box, and a long finish. There is just the slightest hint of alcohol here; nominal and not an issue. Notched this one too. Very, very good and my #3WOTN by a hair over the Dominus (which I think will be better in the long run though).
