December 18, 2016 - Can wines taste different in different climates? Shipped this to our Fla place last week, just from memory expected to like it a bit more. Decanted for a few hours, Lush, fruity, not that lengthy, slightly sweet, a very well built wine. Main gripe is I don't see this as amazing or at least unique. More similar than not to other Napa big boys. Very very good, yes, but not amazing. Sorry about that. Will wait a few years on the others.

December 15, 2016 - Decanted for 2 hours, than drank over 1 hour. Big wine, tannins, a bit muted fruit, but you could taste the depth and quality. Exciting future. Give it more time.

December 13, 2016 - Acker BYO Holiday Dinner (Tribeca Grille): Small taste of this. Similar to when we had it earlier in the year. At this point it's just fruit in the bottle. Very primary. Will be good, but needs a lot more time to get there.

December 4, 2016 - Wow, incredible. Not sure how I only gave this 91 points 2 years ago. Such amazing fruit and sweetness. Such a unique expression of Cabernet Sauvignon. I'm not even sure I'd have picked it as Cab Sav in a blind taste... I'd probably have guessed a top end Barossa Valley Shiraz.

November 18, 2016 - With friends over boeuf bourguignon at home. Splash decanted and served after 10 minutes. Dark ruby and mature. When poured it drew gasps from the table. Exhilarating nose of blackberry, spice, and creme de cassis leading to a long, satisfying tasting experience.
If a date, this was a 35 year old model hardbody who recites Kant and Homer over dinner at The French Laundry in Napa.
So spectacular nobody could reason why it deserved less than 100 perfection points. Exhilarating experience for all.
