April 17, 2024 - Pierre Boisson's 2018 Meursault Les Grand Charrons is a classic Meursault with a slight reduction at the beginning, slightly salty-smoky minerality, clarity and a fine phenolic grip. Rather white-fruity, but the music is determined by the mineral vein. Medium length 91/100 2024-2031

January 22, 2024 - Give this a ton of air if you want to open a bottle. First night it was a bit heavy, flabby, too much oak, reduction but without fruit. Second night it came into much better balance, with reduction and oak receding and a bit more acidity and fruit coming out.

May 25, 2022 - I enjoyed this wine. There’s a lot going on with stone fruit, minerality and acidity that is nice now but will only get more integrated later . 92 pts today, more to come.

May 12, 2022 - Rich, ripe and heady, with almond butter and orchard fruit aromas and flavours. Good shape and the usual Boisson acid tension.

January 25, 2022 - An understated nose of smoky mineral, citrus and white peach. It has richness of fruit, trimmed with mild spice, but is linear and compact for now. there's underlying chalky grip and tangy acidity punctuating the long finish.

August 24, 2021 - Quenching mineral-salt, peach and lemon. If mineral-forward is a thing, I get that here. A bit hot? I think previous taster nailed the palate.
Intriguing and has upside potential I think, with time.

April 11, 2021 - Some mineral reduction coupled with white peach fruit. It has classic Meursault almond butter and flesh to boot. Everything is drawn in tight by a fine line of grapefruit-like acidity. Lovely stuff.

January 9, 2021 - Very good, much more open than the 2017, def some of the reduction that made it a Coche ringer has been lessened as discussed lately (just like Coche) but not totally removed, I know some don’t love it but I happen to.... I poured a glass or two from a Coravin one night then opened the rest 5 days later and it was markedly different, more open and the wide range is because of a ripe pineapple note that emerged after it was open 2 hours or so that was really unusual for this producer and my concern of buying ‘18s in general. I know there are good ones, I’ve tried a few but sappy, ripe white burgundy is off putting so maybe it doesn’t go that direction ultimately and holds the purity of fruit it started with. Bought a case so tried one to get a feel. 90-94 for me, may be great some day if it doesn’t get too tropical.
