March 2, 2024 - This is still in very good shape. Pure joy drinking this. I don't think this could get any better so good time to drink up!

August 24, 2023 - Still drinking really well, but probably nearing the end of its drinking plateau. Opened a few hours before and then decanted for about an hour. A beautiful, elegant cab.

February 13, 2023 - Much, much better than a 1998 Penfold's Grange also opened. Bigger nose, bigger fruit on the palate. Nicely balanced and resolved.

December 24, 2021 - Funky nose, earth, mushroom, damp forrest floor. Comes alive on the palette Cassis, cherry, tons of fruit, and green pepper. The earthy notes on the nose show through especially on the nice finish. Great acidity. Perfect balance. Really impressive wine still showing well. Definitely illustrates the aging potential of Washington Cabs. Not sure it will stay at this stage much longer though. Plan on drinking my last bottle soon!! Served with grilled ribeye, wild mushrooms with no decant.

April 4, 2021 - No decant, was pretty much ready to go immediately

Nose: Dark plums, smoky spices, leather, black cherry, cedar, raspberry mocha. Primary and tertiary notes well integrated. Still high intensity

Palate: Concentrated dark fruits - plum, black cherry, integrated with fine leathery tannins and pleasant tartness lingering on finish. Alcohol was not too noticeable (13%).

Still feel like this has some time left. A great experience!
