August 9, 2013 - None of us had high expectations for this given the vintage, on the light side, sour cherries, drinkable but nothing special.

June 28, 1990 - Classical and harmonious nose with ripe fruit, spices and oak; lovely hint of sweetness on the attack, elegant, compact, has already lost most of its tannin, nice weight for a 1980, cedary; good length, drying. The best 1980 I have tasted so far.

September 8, 1989 - Dark carmine with a little brown on the edge. Beautiful complex bouquet with fruit and good oak. Red fruits, a lot of acidity and tannin. The wine is still developing. At first the acidity was too dominant, but a few hours later the wine was in better harmony and although not very full bodied, quite complex.

May 4, 1988 - Deep dark red. Deep and powerful bouquet with black fruits/cassis, liquorice and good oak. Full bodied wine. Complex in the taste, with cassis, liquorice, luxurious oak, good acidity and bitterness. The tannin is good, firm and sticky. Long aftertaste with oak. A very good and juicy wine. What an extremely good effort for the vintage! Now beautiful, but will be as good in 3 -4 years.

April 3, 1987 - Like my other TN’s. A perfectly ok wine. Not extremely full bodied though.
