April 28, 2023 - A balmy spring evening in Southern California with grilled salmon called out for a rose. 1st glass prior to dinner was sharp and flinty with not much on the nose. 2nd glass with dinner began to show some straw and strawberry on the nose. The strawberry continues on the palate along with some herbaceous notes. You can easily notice the Syrah emphasis in the blend but it just doesn’t translate into the richness you’d expect. Finish was too steely. Needed more time with the skins during fermentation. Purchased at Bristol Farms for about $14…you can get it for $10; but I’d take a pass.
August 14, 2021 - Decent everyday wine.
August 8, 2021 - Good rose'!
July 28, 2021 - Lovely light-bodied rose. Not a blend I've had before, Syrah with 30% Grenache Noir. Atlantic salmon in color, clean finish.
July 10, 2021 - Light pale pink in color. Full, fragrant & aromatic nose of ripe fruit aromas of strawberries, cherries & watermelon with overtones of floral notes, some spices & minerals. Light bodied with a good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, crisp, ripe fruit flavors of strawberries, cranberries & sour cherries with some spices & minerals. Lingering dry finish. Drinks quite well at present but definitely best consumed in its youth. An indicative blend of 30% Grenache Noir & 70% Syrah. While it not stellar in quality, I do not believe it merits a rating of "79" unless it was on off bottle.
May 31, 2021 - Red berries
May 23, 2021 - 55F, PnP; summer party Rose taste testing. full nose with strawberry, almost bubble gum. On the palate berry and some green herb, some mineral. Moderate wt, nice. A winner.
April 22, 2021 - More bubblegum on the nose I am being told. Water mellon jolly rancher. Bright and crisp and fun.
