  November 2, 2012 - Still tasty but needs to be drank, losing some legs now. Would like to have bought more but it would still need to be consumed relatively immediately. Might last for another year or more but definitely ready for drinking!

  May 31, 2012 - Very mellow wine (now). Fortunately the flavors are still coming through in this pinot. It is very rounded and now subtle fruit, tannins and earthiness are the most pronounced flavors. For a hot year pinot it's quite surpising that this stands so well this many years out. Makes me wonder what the 09 Or pinots will do for the next 5 years.

  January 30, 2011 - Pre-Birthday tasting (Willamette Valley): Fresh and ripe nose, with some pine aromas. Big scale palate, with big tannins, and some pine here too. Really firm tannins on the finish; woodsy; like chewing on a branch. Not overly ripe considering the vintage.

  October 23, 2008 - It started very soft, but opened up nicely within an hour. Very dense, deep red color. Red currant to the nose and a whimsical fruitiness on the palate. The tannins were gentle. A Pinot I plan to buy more of for the price.
