June 25, 2023 - This was a pretty good showing for this bottle; still big and ripe, but starting to come around; ripe cherry and black raspberry alongside some plum and the beginnings of some savory and sous bois notes; still a decent amount of structure, but buffered enough that the balance is not bad; certainly not an elegant Chambolle, but enjoyable nonetheless.

August 2, 2017 - Jon's Birthday 2017 (Kallang Way Extra Space): Tasted blind. Drank from decanter after 1 hour of air.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose overwhelming aromas of nail varnish and lacquer. Aggressive swirling reveals medium+ intensity, aromas of black fruit, mint and cola. Developing.
on the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), medium- tannins, medium body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of dark red cherries, black cheries, vanilla, mint, cola. Medium finish.
Possibly volatile acidity fault marring the experience. Simple Pinot profile. Modern styled clearly. I was guessing an Oregon Pinot Noir actually.

    February 15, 2017 - Slow-ox 30 minutes, tasted over 1 hr; from 375mL, bottle from secondary market
    -dark red no bricking
    -rich dark berry/cherry/plum, oak
-med/med- acidity, med weight, relatively simple ripe black cherry/berry without surmaturite some earthy mature elements starting to creep in, med tannins and noticeable oak on finish
-in a good drinking window (this bottle a little more advanced than another opened recently), rich for a Chambolle village wine, modern style a bit heavy-handed with the oak but not over-ripe and it retains good balance blessed from the vintage, in sum this is more representative of the producer and the vintage than it is of its terroir

December 3, 2016 - Really fantastic tonight. Opened up at 2 hours. Complex nose of mushrooms, roses, lavender, baking spice, and black cherry. Palate is a mouthful of sweet rich prunes and blackberry fruit and integrated oak. Nice warm finish. Drinking very well for an 05.

February 4, 2016 - Much more fruit forward than I expected. Closed at first, then serious black cherry flavored. Good acidity and backbone. Delicious!

March 21, 2015 - Delicious, but little too much oak and modern in style to my taste. Missing the classic purity and elegance of CM.

December 14, 2013 - Had this with their Morey St Denis 2005. First 90 minutes, this showed very little. 2nd 90 minutes showed too much wood. After 3 hours in decanter, it developed a compelling nose which kept me coming back for refills. Texture was always very silky, but the nose and palate took time. I will wait for many years on the others in my cellar.
