June 27, 2012 - Post dinner bottle at Antibes, it did not disappoint. PnP, myself and JQ thought it was light, smooth and lots of candy caramel with some cinnamon. My sister and wife thought the complete opposite, they thought it was alcoholic, rough and acidic. Go figure! Great accompanient with dessert. I did notice however, that after 30 minutes, the wine's smoothness and fruiteness began to detiriorate. Drink up!
December 12, 2011 - A bit bitter. Nose was nothing special.
September 20, 2011 - Very nice. Fruit was balanced and well integrated with the tannins. Drinking well now.
March 13, 2011 - Great bottle. It has evolved in an excellent way.
December 4, 2010 - Opened for a birthday dinner at Bibou in Philly. Lovely seamless blend of dark fruit and wood. I'll hold my other bottle a couple years
November 26, 2010 - Tasting well right now, maybe at it's peak. Hold perhaps 2 more years.
October 25, 2010 - I think this one was flawed. But, based on what was there, I worry that this wine is overwhelmed by the Mourvedre, which in my experience, when grown in Washington, tends to show a lot of bitterness. Hope my other bottles are not like this.
May 20, 2010 - Recommended by Brandon at the Wine Library. Opened with Joaquin when he came to visit. A very rhone like GSM, high alcohol content prevails, perhaps a bit hot, the wine has a deep and crisp structure. I opened and poured, the wine improved over time. The wine is extremely elegant, and there are enough tannins and fruit to achieve greatness over then next 2-3 years. I am going to save my other bottle to open some time in 2012.
June 6, 2009 - Wonderful w/Copper River Salmon!
June 16, 2008 - Had on Father's Day with prime rib. Great Rhone blend 50% GRENACHE, 25% Syrah, 25% Mourvedre. Tasted like a Chateauneuf-du-Pape with strawberry and cherry flavors. Very smooth finish with lingering fruit flavors.
