November 23, 2017 - Really beautiful Pinot. Fine smooth tannins, very nice fruit remaining, this is drinking so very well.
January 8, 2017 - I recently moved from Philadelphia to Houston (yeah...) and I had my considerable amount of wine shipped down, which sat in storage for a good 3-4 months. I recently opened a bunch of whites, and all were oxidized. I sat in my newly constructed cellar, dejected: I feared that somewhere along the way, all (or at least most) of the wine somehow spoiled. Thus tonight, when my wife cooked a wonderful pork tenderloin sous-vide, I was reluctantly anxious to try this wine. Looking at my previous notes, I had mixed feelings. Well, not tonight. A rich, opulent Pinot, certainly: succulent, full, big-boned, but oh so tasty. Round red fruit, balanced tartness, and even a hint of tannin on the back-end. April 27, 2016 - A bit stewed on the nose, but I ignored it. There was a bit of dark red fruit on the back there, but I ignored it. Initially, on the palate, there was that stewed, even stale note. But I ignored it. I let the wine sit for a while--yeah, I ignored it. After a while, this could not be ignored:good dark berry fruit, considerable depth, and a lasting finish. March 16, 2015 - This bottle was decidedly better than the previous as there was more fruit and complexity and a wonderful pairing for the grilled salmon. Still, it was a bit lacking in acidity, coming off just a bit flabby, particularly on the finish. But I nit-pick--this was Outstanding. thedrunkencyclist.com
October 11, 2014 - New World Blind Tasting Group $25+ (Bin 75): Dull ruby garnet, good clarity, lighter rim; medicinal dark cherry, sour cherry, spice; sour cherry on the palate, a little 1 dimensional, good acid, some age, cranberry, some spice on finish not enough to make this wine very interesting; meh.
July 22, 2014 - Nice, fully mature. No specific notes.
July 17, 2014 - Garnet. Consumed at busy pre family wedding get together, so no serious tasting notes.
Elegant and true to his style. Balanced. Lovely wine. Drank well at this moment.
December 27, 2013 - Not a style I care for.
December 16, 2013 - Best wine at a tasting party. Rich dark fruits with a smoky mineral background.
September 15, 2013 - A bit tart. Would have expected better at this price point.
