October 22, 2016 - 4th Saturday Group brown bagger (R&D's): Aromas of dark fruit, tobacco and currant with a nice earthy undertone. Lighter in body than the bouquet and color suggest, with integrated tannin and flavors of dark fruit, plum and forest floor. Finishes with good length. To me this seemed old world and I guessed Bordeaux.

December 7, 2015 - This is a very solid wine from a pretty warm year. The nose is ripe with cassis, blueberry, vanilla, toast, and hints of mocha. The palate is ripe, but maintains a nice balance with good acidity, well integrated tannins, and overall has very pure flavors that are classic Napa cab. Enjoyable when this is what you want.

August 28, 2015 - Very smooth, aging gracefully with nice strength. Tannins barely noticeable, some bottle age but faded quickly and got out of the way so we could enjoy it. Drank side by side with Maybach 2008 over a fine lunch. Enjoyed the contrast. Maybach had explosive fruit which made the Sinskey seem muted, but the Sinskey hit much wider. Both quite enjoyable for different reasons.

June 28, 2014 - 4th Saturday Brown Bagger (Sue & Mike's): Garnet color. Herbal overtones with red and black currants and cassis with just a hint of beef bouillon cube. Medium tannin with some lovely red fruit, but it turns sour and acidic on the finish. Guessed Cab Sauv.

February 14, 2014 - The wine looks violet colored. Earthy aromas of mushroom and dried fruit. The body is full. The wine finishes long.
