April 11, 2010 - 4 hoursr decanting and still a bit closed initially. In the mouth complex taste of freshfruit, red berries, earthy notes and smooth yet very powerful tannins. Not as heavy and sweetish as the 2003-s I have had earlier with very good balance and complexity.

May 18, 2009 - This wine is at a very nice stage for the moment. Still needs some air, but certainly delivers in power, and fantastic notes

April 25, 2009 - Forceful, but still with elegance. Nice fruit, and probabaly the best Barolo from 2003 that I have had.

December 19, 2008 - Wonderful nose of cranberry, lingonberry and blackcurrant. Some viola shining through. High acidity, lots and lots of mature tannins. Excellent with risotto. Long taste. A very drinkable and enjoyable Barolo with no sign of tunnel.

March 16, 2008 - A lot more fruit than the 2001 I had the evening before- still with the earth and mushrooms but the fruit was an unexpected element. Also an aroma of fresh flowers balanced the nose nicely. Not sure how this will age as the tannins were well integrated but not as strong for a youngish wine. I would tend to enjoy this wine early rather than wait too long.
