March 10, 2024 - Drunk for dinner with lamb cutlets. 14%. A mid-garnet with bricking to the edge. Morello cherries, tar, black cherries - very vinous. Tannins still present but do not overwhelm - they have settled in very nicely. Plenty of acidity keeps it fresh. Really enjoyable - even better the next day so will last a few more years.

June 20, 2022 - First 2 days it just seemed woody and odd. A bit of balsa wood, Nebbiolo typicity but strange tannic structure and lack of determinable character.

3rd day under cork our of eurocave, it came alive with olive, aged chocolate shavings and dried bing cherry. Good but nothing to write home about.

December 10, 2020 - Lots of tannins when first opened bottle.
Aerated and decanted for over an hour, tannins softened and enjoyed a powerful, well balanced Barolo.
Many more years left to enjoy this incredible wine.

November 18, 2020 - Surprised by how tannic this showed at first, but the tannins softened with air. Too much so, for my palate, as this then showed rather murky. There are fleeting whisps of strawberry and rhubarb, but overall, the palate comes off as more brown fruited than red, and also lacks precision, lacks detail, and lacks prettiness. In the Berkshires, with home-made roast duck.

November 3, 2020 - Beautiful bottle. Classic mature Barolo. Light at its feet but intense both on nose and palate. Tannins are mild at this point. Fruit is vibrant. Tertiares have developed. A pleasure to drink.
