Community Tasting Notes 8

July 10, 2012 - Clean crisp fresh with nice acidity. Like a slightly subdued 1st cru Chablis without the chalkiness. Ten years young tastes completely vibrant.

January 16, 2008 - wonderful apricot, paired with a mixed salad

February 25, 2006 - Very nice, light, clean; crystal clear in glass with very pale yellow; light, fresh bouquet; tastes predominantly of grapefruit; lively acidity, with no earthy or mineral notes, just fruit; would be good summer wine.

November 7, 2005 - Once more the last bottle of what originally was a very tasty wine. However the years (both of them!) have not been kind to this SB. Upon opening a very grassy nose and a brash acidic taste.Still has some grapefruit flavor to it, it wasn't corked or a bad bottle it just lacked appeal. Overnight (thanks Vacuvin) it improved slightly distancing itself from the brackishness but not enough to warrant additional purchases of this producer's SB. Note: a favorite reviewer gave this an 89 in 2002. I thought it was good than but it simply has not held up.....

    October 14, 2005 - Excellent Australian white.
