April 2, 2009 - Good fruit, no fizziness. Probably should have let it breathe for awhile but our meal showed up at the table so we drank it down. It was really developing nicely before it was gone from our glasses....

I think these can go another two years in a cellar.

April 7, 2008 - Decanted about 1/2 hour. Mature-looking brown-garnet color. Very beety on the nose with scents of cherries and raspberries coming through too. Soft and fairly lush on the palate with plenty of fruit remaining and virtually no tannins. Good finish. Nice wine.

July 5, 2006 - Somewhat richer than last time. Very good in its way. Tastes more like a syrah than a pinot noir. This bottle had none of the effervescence that have plagued most of my bottles from Broadley.

May 8, 2006 - Deep red-brick color with only slight wateriness at the rim. Power nose of leaves, cherries, tar, earth, various berries. The nose evolved beautifully for about 1 hour. on the palate it had the same effervescence that I have noticed in most bottles from Broadley since 1998, though this had the least yet. Palate is disappointing. Good fruitiness up front but no mid-palate or finish to speak of. Hollow. Has no where to go.

October 9, 2004 - Mostly red fruit on the nose. Similar red cherry and strawberry flavors on the palate. Fruit comes across as somewhat simple, quite possibly hidden behinds fairly firm tannins. I think this should be more integrated and balanced starting in 2006 or 2007.
