    June 10, 2011 - Nice easy drinking.

February 22, 2011 - Enough complexity for the price.

March 9, 2010 - Very dark, much darker than expected, with a nose of dark fruits and something savory. On the palate, prune and raisin, but minus the sweetness of say, an over-ripe Grenache. Lacks structure. Nothing compelling or memorable. In Cancun with Michel.

June 1, 2009 - I had the 99 vintage of this wine a while back and it was rather outstanding. I figured I would pick up a younger version to see if I could relive some memories. This wine definitely opened up after about 3 hours in the decanter, but not quite as much as I hoped. Slightly floral nose. Hint of pepper with oak and blueberries. Still quite tannic with some good acids; I suspect it would gain a few points in 5+ years. Not sure it will taste as well as the 99 did after 10 years, I am not saying it won’t, rather I really don’t know.

    December 18, 2008 - dark & crisp berry & bramble.
2008-12-18: intense wafty melted licorice nose. tart cour cherry, blackberry licorice entry. somewhat dumb middle. long, minerally finish that, at least initially, had a metallic hint.
