January 28, 2012 - Popped and poured. Lots of red berry fruit up front with some good depth on the mid-palate. Strong finish with lingering tannins. Outstanding.

December 26, 2011 - Fairly big and forward with notes of spice. The maturity is just about right for my taste, so I recommend drinking it up before it looses too much fruit. A great California Pinot if you like it more masculine.

September 13, 2010 - A fruit bomb who may be coming to the end of the road. This wine probably will not get any bettter, in fact it may be on the wrong side of the curve. Still has red fruit available, not much nose.

August 18, 2010 - Ruby color. Black fruit nose. Tastes of cherry and blackberry with some toasted oak. Pure cherry finish with a good earthiness and balance.

December 6, 2009 - Brambly notes of berry fruits on the nose. Good mouthfeel with nice acidity allowing it to pair well with a wide variety of foods (like the crabcakes we had). The only negative to the wine is that the finish has some harsh notes to it. These may integrate over time. Overall, this is a solid wine that represents Petaluma Gap well.

November 7, 2009 - I opened this after having a couple glasses of a nice red fruited Russian River Pinot which made this show quite earthy and funky, usually something I quite like, but not this time as the funk really masked any fruit. If you have any of these I say drink up as I don't see any improvement in the future.
