May 4, 2024 - A great way to celebrate the 150th Kentucky Derby. A smooth citrus taste through out with an acidic bite at the end. It was perfectly stunning in comparison to Dom or Krug with its unique profile. We will get this again… but will wait another 5 years for maturity.
May 3, 2024 - Such a baby. If you can drink prior vintages, go for those. This will sing in a few years.
April 18, 2024 - Drank at 67
Fresh rich and open. Delicious. Maybe still too young.
April 9, 2024 - Way too young IMO. Will wait at least 10 years.
March 6, 2024 - Dinner with Paul and Jeff (The George Town Club - DC): Very precise, razor like focus, exceptional tension, clean cool fresh lemon citrus fruit. Lemon and granny smith, a hint of honey, rainwater and spice spices. Bright acidity, strong mineral, fine abundant mousse and a long cool fresh lemon and apple driven finish. It reminds me the 14 Chablis a bit, e.g. pure, cool and precise. It is leaner and cooler than the 12 and 15. A bit like the 08 but not as elegant but cooler and showing more tension.
March 3, 2024 - Brought in and drank in a restaurant for father in law 65th birthday.
Elegant and lively.
More flavoursome than the 07 as I had that in Nov 2023.
March 1, 2024 - Winey Weekend With the Woodwards in Woodinville!!; 2/29/2024-3/2/2024 (Where else?): What an amazing start to a tasting at Quilceda Creek!! Thank you JK for being members there! The balance and freshness make this stand out. It's about yellow citrus and green apples, yeast and chalky minerality that goes on and on. At the end of the QC tasting, we were asked if we would like to revisit anything and 4/4 asked for more of this... Now-2035.
February 9, 2024 - Exceptional
February 9, 2024 - Decanted, which revealed better fruitiness and broadness than the last bottle. Great concentration without being too heavy. 93-94
January 7, 2024 - Rich, ripe, and smooth. Paired well with sushi.
