Community Tasting Notes 4

June 25, 2017 - Interesting but definitely on the downslope. Still some dark fruit, blueberry and plum, with a heady herbal overtone of green peppercorn, parsley, and cigar box. The acid still holds it together on the palate with the cigar box and peppery notes persisting through the long finish. Maintained consistency throughout being open a few days. Drink em if you got em.

May 17, 2013 - Picked this bottle up way on sale... probably way past its prime but what the heck, the price was right.

This was awesome! Lots of funk on opening, though after an hour in the decanter and most of that blew off and fruit emerged.

Nose is both plums and prunes, plus a bit of tart pomegranate; loamy earth, plus a hint of herbs and warm spices.

palate has similar profile to nose, nice acid backbone, round mouthfeel. medium long finish.

    had with flank steak.

don't know what this was like in its youth, but I would say that it would still be lovely for a year... maybe two.

July 14, 2007 - The last of my 94' Graillots. Extraordinary value for the buck. A very distinct peppery, Rhone syrah nose. Soft and sweet in the mouth with a medium body and a long aftertaste.
