May 4, 2013 - Sumptuous. Fruit still there. I really enjoyed with rack of lamb.
December 18, 2012 - Still has fruit. Drank a bit too cold. Solid bottle.
March 15, 2010 - Crimson color. Notes of smoke, roasted meat and red fruit. Medium-bodied, with good acidity and flavors of spicy red currant and cherries.
July 3, 2009 - Did well with a lemon sage chicken and herbed risotto. Survived 8 years of moving and 75 degree storage with panache. Still had the right cherry notes and italian earth.
October 21, 2006 - Young, pretty closed. Good food wine, apparently I didn't take notes other than "let the sulphur blow off."
September 25, 2005 - I love Monsanto Chianti's and this gem continues to shine bottle after bottle. Alive, zesty and full of life it drinks perfectly with casual food or pizza in this case. strawberry and candied cherries lace throuh cedar and spice. decanted for an hour and it was still unwinding. It is drinking great right now. super dupper tuscan and for 20$ or so....awsome deal
