May 26, 2014 - Opened this for our 15th Anniversary and could have easily waited for the 20th. Tasted young with dark fruit, balanced oak, olive, and leather. Helped wash down a rib-eye with a little bbq sauce nicely. Long finish, balanced palate, and a nice nose that wasn't overwhelmed with oak. The heat was held in check and drank well without the food. Sipping well now with tannins still very present. Drink now or in the next 5 or so years easily.

June 23, 2012 - This has aged really well over the years as I've consumed almose two cases since '02. Beautiful dark ruby red w/little bricking. Big aromatic nose of blackberries, cassis, cherries and subtle spice that segues into a rich. mouth coating palate of berries, ripe rich tannins and spice cake. This vintage of Woody has always been a satisfying fix when in need of that wet kiss of promise of things to come. Not the most complex, nuanced or elegant offering of a top Cabernet, but it has always talked its trash and then delivered the goods.

June 6, 2012 - Fragrant, full-bodied and balanced. Drinking nicely.

March 28, 2012 - Wow, what a bottle of wine! Opened this bottle when we had family over for dinner & everyone enjoyed it's blackberry nose, deep dark red color and strong cab taste of berries, tobacco, & a hint of spice. Terrific tannins would more than likely keep this bottle well cellared for another four or five years. It had a big taste throughout the palate with a long complete finish. Almost wish we hadn't drunk it now, but it wasa perfect complement to our family reunion.

March 22, 2012 - Bold fruit, but a touch of bitterness to my taste. Doubt it's going to be improving with additional time.
