July 22, 2010 - Quite long hue with a watery finish, brown brick, weak core; earth and roof tiles, liquorish, fairly deep, some pepper and alcohol; moderate body, tannins present from the first 1/3 of the curve. The fruit is dying and drying, good acidity, a little weak finish, no primary fruit left (but some sour cherries). Guessed Serralunga

January 28, 2010 - Monthly Tasting Group LTB 2010-02; Some Bordeaux including a small Cantemerle vertical (by JvD): Tasted from magnum. The color is impressively dark. The bouquet is very modest and it took a while before it showed something. But then there were tertiary tones, and even some black fruits. Same on the palate, so the wine was still in harmony. The tannin still had a bite, but it was a tough old age bite. Quite much bitterness in the finish, but not the ones that hold a promise. It helped to keep the wine alive. Compared to humans; a mid 80 year old, but in good (not superb) condition. No score.
