April 20, 2016 - Dark fruit, graphite flavors, elegant and delicious.

December 19, 2015 - Pop/pour. On the nose, starting to develop a secondary character, a bit of cabernet "sweat", especially after some air. Initial impression was more oak/vanilla driven. On the palate, this could still go for a few years. Medium-heavy, with noticeable fine tannins on the finish that give the impression of a younger wine. They don't coat the teeth, but they aren't hiding either.

May 3, 2015 - Fairly typical California cab - this is a big wine that will go on for a long time. Enjoyable for what it is and good with a steak. As is always the case for me, there is too much new oak influence in the wine and it becomes more noticeable with air. Underneath there are enticing scents of roses, other flowers, lavender and berries. This is nothing like a traditional Bordeaux or the old California wines of the 60s and 70s. It is like some modern Bordeaux - big fruit, big oak obscuring the place of origin.

December 6, 2014 - Plum, black fruit, spice and pepper, delicious, well balanced, but still a little tight. Definitely wait a year or two for next bottle, this will only get better.
