January 31, 2024 - Nice CA rendition, good acidity not overpowering with pleasant notes of apricot and that petrol note

January 1, 2024 - A more austere Riesling. It had enough acidity to stand up to NYEve spicy Asian fare.Fruit is somewhat restrained but lemonzest/not sweet pineapple. This might be better in a year or two but fine now. Would not be appreciated by those inclined towards sweet whites, but this is a well put together wine

December 1, 2023 - Very good! It is obviously a riesling but the acid feels like it is at a lower pitch than some others, with less mineral flavors. Would be fantastic with shellfish.

November 3, 2023 - Gold with a distinctly offsetting greenish cap. A rounder Riesling profile except for an herbal/grassy note on the mildly muted nose; followed by up-front acidity, and a moderately long lemon-lime-forward yet supple finish. Very nice. +1 to zscheiner's comments to give this time to warm up out of the fridge. My initial rating was 90 but bumped it up after 20 minutes post-PnP.

Paired with Bojangles fried chicken. Judge me if you must.

February 5, 2023 - Really improved with air and as it warmed up. Delicious at room temp even, which is a great test for whites. Nose is a bit shy right now but the palate comes through with preserved lemon and subtle spice. One of my favorite California whites, vintage after vintage.

January 2, 2023 - Nose of lemons, grass, a hint of spice, and degassing soft vinyl. As the glass warms up, pineapples and honeysuckles start to make an appearance on the nose. Medium bodied and the high acidity masks any RS this might have. Palate of tart lemons, and a hint of tart pineapple, and a bit of underripe pear. Finish follows the palate and adds light minerals to the profile. Lots of structure but very linear.

This is very enjoyable and the price is right. However, I think this needs some further development to get to that 90+pt rating.

November 13, 2022 - Grilled lemon and Timothy grass. Hint of plastic pool toy. There's a sense of dissolved nitrogen or effervescence dancing ever-so subtly on the tongue, which makes it feel alive. Everyone in the world would classify this as bone dry, but to me this is just barely dry, teetering on the edge of off-dry. But I'm cool with that. Yeah, it's a wonderful wine. Wirz is always nice, no matter the producer. Good job!
