I would buy more and hold at least 3-5 years.

  January 6, 2005 - OK. This one is clearly better than the last bottle of this I had. Nose is actually pretty good and on the palate it shows nice cherry flavors. But that's where it ends. Pretty one-dimensional drink, still and certainly not a very good wine. But drinkable and at $13 it's a good buy. For me though, no more Evesham Wood.

  December 12, 2004 - Really hated this one. Nose, although very one-dimensional and simplistic was definitely off in a bad way. Although the color looks good, the palate is a disaster. Insipid, simple wine that is way too acidic (and this comes from a guy who likes lively acidity in Pinot). On top of this, this wine turned undrinkable in my glass in less than one hour. Using the rule of thumb, this wine is going to be drinkable in one year. I'm glad I only have one more and I may opt to cook with it.

  December 9, 2004 - It has lost the spritz but the fruit is muted still. There is more alcohol than fruit at this point so I would wait a year or two before drinking. It was decanted and then poured so more time may make a difference. Light and not much more at this point.

  September 28, 2004 - Deep nose of raspberries and violets. Red Cherry highlights. Very floral. Hints of cayenne pepper. A touch alcoholic. Soft front palate with a slightly astringent/metallic finish. Good wine for the price.
