July 19, 2010 - would buy again
September 14, 2009 - Walker Trade Show (Providence): Bright fruit. Solid.
July 24, 2009 - Bright cherries with strawberries coming through more as it warmed. Some flinty-ness too. Very tart and no finish to speak of but it was enjoyable enough for the price.
February 16, 2009 - Lighter side of pinot, red cherries and strawberries, some floral notes, bright acidity, light tannins. Tasty, but not especially deep or complex. A fair deal at $15, though nothing to get excited about.
December 29, 2008 - light garnet and faint nose of red fruit. Tart cherry, bordering on cranberry in the mouth, some length, no finish. Got a little better with air time, still pretty basic, not as good as the 2005, which opened up better given time. Needs food. Better stuff out there at $18/bottle, get the 2005 if you still can
September 18, 2008 - color: light to medium red; nose: cherries, vanilla; taste:cherries, cola, slight earth. Some tannins and oak, but well balanced. decent fruit. Picked it up for 12 dollars, which is well worth it; not so much at the original price of 24 dollars.
May 28, 2008 - Opened this for dinner and tracked it over a few hours. A pretty lean bourgogne - in general the fruit is restrained, but you still get the tart cherry and raspberry. Some nuances of stone as well. Relatively light-bodied...it has good acidity. Probably a better pairing with food than on its own.
March 13, 2008 - Drouhin 2006 preview and friends: Pretty nose. Rasberry and strawberries. Nice fruit. Fairly tannic. A lithlle earth on the finish. Enjoyable, but kind of pricey for entry level. 85-87
December 25, 2007 - A very light, garnet colored wine with an equally light to medium body, this is an entirely unoffensive endeavor. Well balanced with a taste of tart cherries and cocoa dust and present but not insistent tannins. I would imagine that this wine is what one might describe as over-extracted. At the same time it seems like a fine pairing for foods like game birds and pork. if you can get it for about 15 bucks its not a bad value, I suppose, if you want a French pinot rather than a fruit forward California type thing.
