March 7, 2021 - Similar experience as a couple years ago.
The aromatics were more pronounced this time around and the wine continues to drink well. Plenty of life left but incredible at the moment. Wish we had more.

January 12, 2021 - Strawberry mousse and raspberry nose and palate with lively acidity. Fresh and vibrant.

  • ONEFIVE Likes this wine:

April 7, 2019 - Pale orange hue in the glass.
Not super expressive on the nose. Hints of peach, dried apricot, orange peel,
The palate is still quite lively. Fresh acidity, an ultra fine mousse, and layers of flavor.
A wonderful wine that is drinking well now. It could improve with a few more years but I’m not sure if or when the acidity might overtake the fruit.

March 4, 2017 - Food + Wine Weekend in Chas; 3/2/2017-3/4/2017 (Charleston, SC): This was a treat to get to try. Poured from a mag. It's also still on the younger side although you can see a bit more maturity than the '02 right before it. More of a salmon color. A bit of the oxidized and a bit less bright and in your face and more restrained. Interesting wine. Not sure the QPR works for me - at that price the '98 LGD Rose is really something.

May 16, 2015 - Date night at Blue Hill (Blue Hill at Stone Barns, Pocantico Hills, NY): In the glass, clear, pale copper shading to pink. On the nose, orange zest and a faint hint of wood smoke. On the palate, a quick burst of yeasty effervescence all over the palate, followed by a mix of strawberries, oranges, slate, and secondary notes of sherry. Paired well with a wide range of vegetable courses.
