December 19, 2021 - Very nice but wait 5-10 years. Too much tannins and feels more like 5 years (not 16).

November 18, 2020 - Still quite young and tannic, but a very nice Barbaresco.

May 19, 2020 - Nice wine. Blackberries and plums with stainless steel and a hint of fall leaves.

May 3, 2020 - Decanted 2 hrs before serving, very tannic and dry upon opening, opened up and showed great fruit and structure, this was great with time, but could probably sit another 5y before hitting its peak.

March 17, 2020 - Great. Opened for 1,5 hours. Viol and roses on the nose. Fine grip and nice structure, and went very well with the filet mignon. Enjoyed.

October 1, 2019 - This was terrific, but might have benefited from longer decant (Pnp and drank over 2 hrs). Still quite young with lots of vibrancy up front and long finish. Mid palette started to emerge toward end 2 hrs, with some subtle secondary flavors. Apparently these are long lived wines!

May 27, 2019 - First one of these in almost three years. No longer a tannic monolith, it is now finally mature. Still needs at least one hour of air to open up. Absolutely bone dry on the front-palate, but fleshes out nicely on the mid-palate, where its ripe cherry and raspberry fruit gradually emerge. Finishes very long and complex, with lingering notes of oak, tar, menthol and black licorice. Still slightly chewy, but the tannins have integrated very well. A wonderful Barbaresco that paired beautifully with our ribeye steaks.

April 13, 2019 - Very deep color and a black hole of dark fruit, violets and road tar. Dry, tannic and firmly structured. Serious wine, a touch too austere but great with a slow braised lamb shank! A long life ahead for this beast.
