December 28, 2022 - Holy crap this was great. Thought it was my last bottle but have 11 more., I have to thank myself for putting this down 16 years ago.
Graphite and cedar aroma (yes - a pencil). Nice thick body. Love it
May 23, 2015 - Perfect cork, no seepage. Tasted over 2h.
Still quite young and tannic. Nose a bit muted.No formal notes but a slight regret at opening this just now.
Hold and revisit in 2022.

December 25, 2012 - Aromas of dark fruit, spice and some leather. A well polished wine as you would expect from Chapoutier, but not really what I'm digging these days. Doesn't have the acidity that I usually look for; the fact that I'm not digging CdP so much right now plus the 2003 vintage doesn't make for a great combo. Interestingly, we bought this directly from Chapoutier in Tain L'ermitage in 2005 and quite liked it. Oh how tastes change!
November 28, 2012 - Delicious......dark fruits on the nose, layers of blackberries, sandalwood, leather, and soft spice on the palette. Nice finishing length. Ready to drink but could still hold a bit longer.

April 4, 2009 - This was an enjoyable wine. Lots of fruit, a little old world mustiness to it. Strong tannins and a bit to hot for my taste. Lighter bodied than expected, sort of like a carneros pinot.

August 17, 2008 - Delicious wine - fruit still pretty stong in this wine - acidity and tannins still in the forefront. Great with grilled steak and suateed chard.
July 4, 2008 - Clear garnet red color, medium body, interesting aroma, funky, fruity, tart, leather, not much of a meaty and fatty flavor that I would have hoped for, but nonetheless, very solid effort.
January 11, 2008 - Hrmmmmm
