May 23, 2021 - Cigar box, oak, saturated dark fruits. Unctuous texture with some plum and raisin. A touch past it’s prime but you can tell it was a very quintessential Napa Cabernet a few years back

June 12, 2016 - This wine - or this bottle - is long gone. Dark brick in color, full in body, nose of molasses and wet soil. Tastes of prune, plum, and vanilla, with a sweet and syrupy finish - almost like a Port. 14.9% alcohol. Blend of 72% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. This producer is amazing, but time stops for no wine - and, 14 years later, time has passed this one by. An 85 if I am scoring, but I am hoping there are still bottles out there that work (this one was purchased a few months ago from K&L - the store, not the auction).

November 2, 2014 - Drank w/ no decant - needed about 20 minutes of air. Just fantastic. Well integrated tannins. Lots of dark fruits (blueberry/blackberry). Sweet with fruit on the palate, but no sign of oak. Very straight-ahead, not a ton of secondary characteristics, just a touch of black pepper. Plenty of acid left despite CT drinking window.

January 29, 2013 - Dark cherry, dark plum, cocoa, mocha, glycerin, and gentle oak. Smooth, sophisticated and well integrated. In a beautiful window right now. It is a showy wine.

April 8, 2012 - Well integrated. This wine has developed well and is not as big as it once was and has soften up nicely. Good fruit.
