  February 6, 2022 - Decanted 6 hours before serving. Medium-deep garnet color. Elegant nose of potpourri and new leather. Full body with medium plus fine grained tannins and low acid. Dark black fruit on the palate along with milk chocolate. Very heavy and syrupy, lacking in acid for balance. There was little here that would make you think Barolo; very disappointing.

  May 23, 2020 - Black truffles, red & black fruits with softer tannins, lower acid & some interplay of dried fruits & herbs. A nice wine but nothing to write home about. Drink now.

  June 14, 2015 - Austere, tannic, powerful. Still has ageability but drinking window is available after several hour decant.

  September 23, 2011 - Very nice nose with perfume, roses and fruit. Good body and balanced tnnins. Early maturity, i will keep my other bottle a couple of years more.
