April 20, 2024 - Popped and poured. Cola, cherry, nutmeg and clay notes. There’s a subtle mushroom perfume as well. Medium-bodied with a satiny texture and flavors of cherry cordial, nutmeg, pine sap and spice. Punches well above its price point.
April 17, 2024 - Vin Chicago Pickup Party & Tasting (Bobak's Signature Events): Retailer tasting. Light color. Notes of baked cherry, earth and spice. Medium-bodied, with cherry, red plum and nutmeg. Medium(-) finish. At $11.99 this is a terrific value. 89+ pts.
March 23, 2024 - For a sub $15 Pinot, this is pretty good. Bright red fruit but there is a bit an off flavor I can’t place. Not sure I’d get it again.

April 23, 2023 - I love very light, authentic, Pinot Noir. This Tassajara 2021, all Monterey fruit, fits the bill. Very expressive and lean with nuances of cranberry, bing cherry and a caress of caramel. I nearly knocked over the cuspidor when they told me the price was sub $15. Pair with lighter fish, chicken and pork dishes.

February 28, 2023 - Light and fresh and easy red fruit to it. With some bramble and spice fruit to it. Shyd family vineyards. 50 years in Monteeray.
January 17, 2023 - The estate label for Vina del Sol. But from big landholders. So could be estate fruit but because... A pinot noir meant for the masses. Aromatic on the nose with berry fruits, and then a soft mid palate, showing off a California riper and fruiter style. Works it out as it were.
