March 19, 2024 - Pop and pour. Last bottle was very flawed. This btl was glorious. Dense lemon and tangerine on the nose. Richly-styled lemon, custard and tangerine on the palate. Excellent acid and a long finish. Fantastic.

March 9, 2024 - Oak, lemon lime on the nose. Viscous, high acid for chard, exploding with lemon and citrus. Day 2 this turns into vanilla and lemon cream. So concentrated and pure but still very high strung. Needs lots of time to mellow out. Will give it at least 2 years before I check on this again.

March 2, 2024 - This is really lovely for a Bourgogne and they handled the vintage with aplomb. Light and ethereal and mineral driven. Will be curious to see how the Meursault is.

February 14, 2024 - Nice well rounded burgundy. Great value. Not as forward as some we like, but nice medium citrus on the finish.

January 9, 2024 - This bottle was effervescent and hyper-acidic. The bottle looked like it was damaged at some point as well. Will use as cooking wine.

    August 13, 2023 - Day 1:
Reductive on the nose, but exactly why I love the wines from PVG... Struck flint, toasted oak, popcorn kernel and slight hint of matchstick, but there's a core of green lemon, lemon zest, cold butter and stone fruits.
Palate was very tight and closed and this was really an acid bomb. Green and unripe lemon, lime juice, lemon and lime zest, slight touch of grapefruit, fresh green apple skin, cold butter and an insane burst of chalk and minerals.

    Day 2:
The reduction on the nose had subsided quite a lot, and there wasn't as much oak/flint as day 1. I missed it a bit, but it gave way to some white flowers now and crushed/wet rocks and chalk.
On the palate the acidity had died down just a tad, but the notes were quite the same, and the tightness and tension was still there.

Overall I still love the style, but this wine really needs time to integrate and balance out. At only 11.9% it's so light and pure and fresh on the palate. I think I will give my other bottles at least until 2025.

April 21, 2023 - Upfront: This is wine is still very young and seems a bit disjointed as I drank it in April 2023. I believe the wine will benefit from another year on the bottle. Nose is fresh with fresh cut pear, quince and floral. Palate is acidic, slight phenolic grip, but no bitterness. Seems mid to full bodied and is lush. Finish is medium long, but given that this is entry level, it's a fine wine. Have to revisit and probably rate higher in 1-2 years.
