April 7, 2024 - By the glass. Blended wine of Assyrtiko (80%), Athiri (10%) and Aïdani (10%) from Aegean vineyards with an alcoholic content of 13.0%. Aromatically more complex than its supposed pairs where notes of licorice, dried grapes and prunes, balsamic plants can be appreciated. On the palate it is less interesting, with a clear sweet touch and an elusive acidity, which affects its short length. In spite it us aged without much interest.

September 10, 2023 - The wine looks caramel colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like orange, raisin and honey and tastes like orange, raisin and honey. The body is light/medium. The wine has smooth texture, finishes medium and has low acidity.

August 28, 2023 - 3yrs in concrete and then 4yrs in old French oak. 80% Assyrtiko, 10% Athiri, 10% Aidani
Grape-ier aromas than the 2002 late release. Wild aromatics, complexity, extract, high acid.
Assyrtiko has thick skins…extract comes from the drying process and the pressing.

July 16, 2023 - By the glass at the estate as part of their wine tour.
Rich of course , nutty , orange marmalade ( would we have thought if it as Klein Constantia in a blind taste and should we serve this side by side as we often too with old vine Chenin vs Assyrtiko?) , juicy rich but also well firm due to the high acidity. Impressively welcoming and beautiful wine .92- 93

July 11, 2023 - Complex, with notes of nuts, raisins and orange marmalade. It was unctuous and very sticky but was ultimately rescued from cloying by a spine of acidity and a pleasing mineral edge. The finish was lingering and was certainly very good, but when Samos Nectar is compared at a fraction of the price, I’m not sure it’s worth the extra outlay. CHP 91 pts
