December 30, 2021 - For those who like their Chardonnay on the oaky/buttery side of the flavour profile. Fully mature and still well balanced, although the oak may be starting to ever so slightly overpower the fruit. Lovely golden colour.

June 19, 2012 - Sour aromas at first. Then, tart green apple, dusty, toasty oak. Hint of sulfur. Then notes of fresh green herbs, cream and some gravel. On the palate, it enters lush and creamy feeling. Wonderful weight. Elegantly structured. Vanilla custard with flavors of lemon meringue, roasted pineapple, and some notes of mango. Lush tropical fruit is present and a nice, buttery creamy quality underlying. There is some toasty oak, but it's very subtle standing up to the fresh, ripe tropical fruit notes. Tart green apple comes on the finish with stronger oak influence. Tasty!

December 6, 2009 - Not super complex but very tasty. The green apple and pear are obvious and the light butter compliments the flavors beautifully.

October 4, 2008 - Consistently good chardonnay from one of our favorite producers. Nicely balanced and quite smooth.

(Chalone Chalone Vineyard Chardonnay) #2; VaynerPAZZZ; COLOR-medium golden; NOSE-subtle oak; little apple core; TASTE-a little hot; quite Oaky on the palate; a little disjointed; nice apple core flavor; decent value, but a little viscous for me; WS-87; GV-87
