July 13, 2012 - Nose of cola, bacon fat and white pepper. Palate is soft with tobacco, rose petal and crushed blackberry. Medium Finish with an iron and menthol note. Nose promises a bit more than the palate delivers.
June 19, 2011 - Little bouquet, but an excellent, dark purple, heavy fullness of blackberry and raspberry.
March 13, 2010 - Decanted an hour before indulged. It was very smooth, and drank a lot like a Cab. It need sometime to airate before drinking.
June 7, 2009 - A very nice Syrah, with vannila and dark fruit.
February 13, 2009 - Great, great nose on initial popping. But it faded pretty quickly. I think it is time to drink it up.
April 26, 2008 - A solid wine from a reliable winery. Notes of cherry, cigar box, anise and spice. A very smooth feel. Continually improved with air. A longer finish could have bumped up the score.
November 4, 2006 - From the first sip you taste...rasberries. This is a great wine to pair with food. Not hot at all despite 14.8% alcohol. Would have rated this higher if it had a better nose. It was somewhat one-dimensional.
