December 31, 2022 - Opened this bottle after ~20 years sitting in under the stair case to bid farewell to 2022, and couldn't be happier.

The bottom half of the cork was disintegrated so the wine needed to be filtered, other than that the wine was flawless.

Straight out of the bottle, fresh and fruity aroma with hints of vanilla, and black tea, it was a bit gripy with a bit of soft tannin around the palate, but after an hour or so in the decanter, it turned into a silky smooth almost creamy liquid, absolutely gorgeous. It was indeed a very special wine for a special occasion.

It's good to drink now. But would last for another 5-10 years through careful collaring.

    Happy New Year!!!

September 2, 2022 - Very nice, not as good as 98 or 01, but still very good.

July 20, 2021 - This was a lovely wine - rich but not heavy (even at 14.5%), smooth, balanced, comprised of mainly dark fruit with a very nice finish.

June 17, 2021 - It i upsetting to think this is this last bottle. So gorgeous. Maybe at its peak... but it did continue to get better, Soft blueberry and boysenberry. Delicate tannins. Rose petal and and a hint of eucalyptus on the nose.

May 16, 2021 - With aging, the fragrance and spiciness more muted, but the wonderful chocolate and blueberry, along with the persistent taste from the coating of the tongue and throat, reminded me why I fell in love with drinking wine.
