  March 11, 2017 - After 90 minutes decanting this wine was dark brick red with a full forward cassis nose with some hints of citrus blossom and brown sugar. The body was very full with similar heavy fruit like cassis and some brown sugar. The finish was lingering. This was stored for more than 30 years in my cellar at rest.

  February 21, 1990 - With MPL and BLR in Brett's office after work. Very dark in color with lots of brick at the rim. Good legs. Nose seems lacking in fruit or freshness, even slightly raisiny, with some alcohol poking through. However, some attractive tobacco notes as well. On the palate, not too shabby, but very dry fruit, dusty (May even be drying out). Rather hard, coarse. Certainly one of the lesser Caymus' of the '70s. 4-8-7-3: 72/100.
