September 30, 2023 - Opened by Mark. I last had the 2003 vintage of this wine but that was 12 years ago. This was decanted for 2 hours. 100% Syrah which is sourced from a large vineyard that stretches over three communes (Tain-l'Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage and Larnage). Dark purple color. An earthy Syrah which was showing some age. Notes of leather, raw meat and licorice. Drink now. 92 points.
April 26, 2023 - Decanted and drunk over 3-4 hours. Pristine cork. Fair amount of sediment. Very consistent with past couple of notes from ‘21 and ‘22. Dark fruit, leather, dusty earth, cured meats, aniseed, herbs and some wood. Wide open with fully resolved but dusty tannins. Nicely balanced. Ready to go now.
August 12, 2022 - Dark fruit, earthy leather, meaty, black olive, and smoke. Medium bodied and length. Nicely balanced, good acidity, and fairly resolved tannins. Good stuff. Needs to stand upright for a couple of days before opening and decanting off its sediment.
July 31, 2022 - Ripe and smoky and marked by wood. Not my style.

April 27, 2022 - A little barnyard day, overnight this moderated to show chewy cherry, garrigue and leather notes. Pretty good.
February 20, 2022 - Encore en grande forme, bien suave et complexe
avec un belle équilibre.
Des mures, de la viande, de la tapenade,
des violettes et un peu de poivre.
Les tannins sont fondus et la finale
assez longue nous laisse sur des relents salins.
Excellent.
December 20, 2021 - Double decanted and drunk over 4 hours. Dark fruit, earth, old leather, a touch of undergrowth and a bit meaty. Not much pepper here at all. Tannins fully resolved and there is a fairly silly mouthfeel. Medium weight. As good as this baby will get, so drink now. A solid but not great Hermitage.

Définitivement tertiaire. Tuilé. Sous-bois. Venaison. Minéral. Poivre doux. Etc…
La bouche est en harmonie, fondue mais avec encore un peu de kick, belle acidité, belle longueur.
Il est en fin de plateau AMHA.
Mais beaucoup de plaisir ce soir!
