July 4, 2021 - Still good but not as sensational as our first bottle of this.
July 4, 2021 - A point and exceptional!
October 23, 2016 - Consistent with last note only seemingly more pure. Light and oh so elegant.
August 2, 2015 - Bright coloured. Clean and well made. Savoury, meaty and brambly. Little in the way of olive or green pepper. Gentle tannins. I really liked this as an inexpensive, mature Northern syrah.
February 27, 2015 - Well made, straightforward Crozes Hermitage with a nice balance of fruit and tannins. Would not expect much improvement with time so drink in the short term.
November 4, 2013 - A bit slow to open up, earthy with hint of olives and herbs, opened up to some dark fruit. Excellent balance with a long finish, I enjoyed the whole experience during an Autumn dinner - this is an earthy food wine. Drink now for a brawny wine or wait 2 years for something more mellow.
December 2, 2012 - Lovely fresh syrah fragrance, a bit of funk, silky palate, but with notable structure underneath, this was very fine
August 15, 2012 - Standard drak fruit with some minerality and a bit of pepper. All of the lements there, but did not really come together for me.
May 18, 2012 - Vanilla oak over typical dark syrah aromas of roast beef, tar & violets. Midweight palate, richly fruity, softened structure, slightly soapy mouthfeel, good spiciness and some length. Certainly open for business now but could develop for a few years more.
