September 18, 2016 - Decanted 2 hours - excellent nose of dark/red fruit. Fruit forward on palate with dark fruit, tannins not harsh at all, a little heavier than medium but not full bodied like a big Cali Cab. Very smooth on mid palate and the finish is great with a slightly smoky-ish, peppery finish that lasts 30+ seconds - I enjoyed it with a bone in ribeye and it was actually quite tasty with gourmet black raspberry chip ice cream and gluten free brownies!!!

March 27, 2016 - Decanted for ~2 hours and was singing. The aromas of red fruits, herbs and earth was almost "heady". Too deep a breath and you might pass out - but with a big smile! The palate was identical, if not a tad more constrained. The tannins were completely resolved, and the acidity put it in almost perfect balance. Can probably cruise at this level for several more years. Perfect complement to the Easter loin of lamb (Charlie Trotter recipe).

March 4, 2016 - This wine is at peak form now. Nose has fully developed (though nose still trails palate in fulsomeness) and the heat of youth has disappeared. Empty your cellars - you won't be sorry. 50/5/13/17/8

November 10, 2015 - Tar and black fruit across the nose and palate. Still has huge tannins. Excellent for the black fruit and structure. Can go for another decade easily. Next and last after 2020.

October 31, 2014 - Solid CdP! I'm sure this has calmed down a bit in the past 8 years as it is velvety on the palate and not as spicy as I was expecting. Decent finish and we'll worth having around for a quiet night with the missus. Cheers!
