May 31, 2019 - Nice tobacco notes on the nose. Still has plenty of fruit. Finish is not super long but leaves interesting cassis flavors.

July 3, 2017 - Weekly tasting group RWP #260: 10-20-30 plus euro's (@ RW): In the bouquet beautiful dark berries, some barnyard, minerals and dried black berries. On the palate some bell pepper and green impressions, minerals, firm acidity, some bitters and chocolate. Good length. Overall a very good wine and in this stage the Chasse Spleen 2005 hardly beats this wine.

October 1, 2016 - Another super bottle of this. Fully resolved, drinking wonderfully. Some of the 10 or so bottles of this that I've had were more advanced than others, but this was fresh and vibrant -- maybe the best of the lot.

EDIT: Forgot to add that this had some barnyard aromas and flavors (reduction?) upon opening, but blew off after about an hour of slow-ox'ing.

August 19, 2016 - Best of the 10 or so bottles that I have opened thus far. Lots of mature fruit and accompanying flavors.

July 24, 2016 - This bottle didn't show quite as well as most of the previous ones, but was still very good. This bottle was mostly a skeleton with prominent aged wood notes and wood tannin with little or no fruit left.

July 3, 2016 - Another good bottle (haven't had a bad bottle yet, 7 - 7 so far). Fairly light but perfectly aged classic Bordeaux. Yeah, lacking density and concentration, but better than expected for such an affordable, already aged wine.

June 25, 2016 - Back on track with this bottle (previous bottle was not up to par - dried out fruit). Again, an enjoyable classic aged Bordeaux experience.

June 11, 2016 - Drank over two days - improved slightly on the second evening. This bottle did not show as well as the previous few - fruit was dried out more and was more astringent. Still, there was some interest and enjoyment in this bottle.
