February 9, 2008 - Great Older Wines at the Place to Drink Great Older Wines; 2/8/2008-2/9/2008 (Tampa FL): Some strange moldy aspects to the nose took away from my overall impression, but this was an impressive 80-year old wine. Palate was more interesting combination of sweet red fruit and nicely mellowed mushrooms.

February 9, 2008 - LdC does Mecca - Saturday (Tampa): Soft round red color. forward nose of ripe slightly angular red fruit with some hi-toned cedar and just a hint of funk. Lovely round red fruit on the palate with a note of sweetness and underbrush. Plenty of earth and acidity. This was better on the palate than the nose and quite lovely overall. Also had the coolest label I've seen on a bottle of wine (which I will upload if I can get a scanned copy of it).
