  March 8, 2023 - Coravin fun - Burgundy (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Slightly ripe blackberry, sweet spice, slightly meaty, savoury underpin, leather, earth, a little alcohol prickle, biscuit, gains weight with time. Very slightly sour and wild black and red berry fruit, drying woody tannins are a little too much for the fruit, savoury and meaty notes in support. Hmm.

In the mouth I get a tiny touch of stalks (that I didn't pick up on the nose), blackberry, chalky tannins are drying, farmyard notes here as well...I kind of like this 'dirty' wine...

  June 19, 2020 - Coravin fun - new arrivals (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Slightly dusty notes, strawberry as well, slight stalks but also cream and slight vanilla. With time a touch of gameiness. Savoury, juicy, that stalk note more obvious on the palate, the fruit tends to black rather than red with the savouryness persisting, the tannins are drying through quite lightly textured. Long. Based on the 1998 and 2002 I'd like to leave this for a little bit longer.

  February 19, 2020 - Pnp and comsumed over 3 hours! Red-brownish color. Lovely nose of sour cherries and plum. Some cedar, lilac and herbal notes as well.
  Soft mouthfeel, cherry, pulm, well integrated oak and tannins. Medium+ acidity. Unfortunately, a bit watery on the finish!
  Overall, an enjoyable mature glas of burgundy. Still reasonable fruit but I think it’s past it’s prime and on the downslope. It’s time to drink up! 91p
