September 26, 2017 - Ready to drink but well stored bottles should be great still in 3-5 years. Very polished wine for a Beaune 1er Cru.

February 25, 2016 - Opened tonight with seared duck breasts. It started out quite tight, with the typical tart raspberry and mineral notes in the nose, but with time opened up to a much more generous wine, with lush red cherry fruit and a firm acidic backbone. No hurry, it probably has another 3-5 years before true maturity if cellared well.

December 10, 2015 - Nicely mature cherries and Burgundian basketful of shrooms and berries. Just short on finish.

March 15, 2014 - Utterly satisfying and inspiring the way only a Burg can be. Needs only about half an hour to open up, revealing an expressive nose of small forest fruits and resin. Middle weight ripe and fresh palate with a lot of red cherry, crushed stones and a hint of tomato juice. Long and juicy finish. Very well done!

January 21, 2010 - This was a bit of a disappointment. Quite mature, with slightly bitter, acidic fruit. In fact, the fruit is showing signs of drying out. Although it is by no means over the hill, it would probably have been better a year or two ago when the fruit was fresher.
