June 29, 2022 - Garnet core, browning outer third. A combination of stems and red fruit on the nose. Medium weight, quite elegant feel. Supple and inviting with an excellent balance between the naturally sweet red fruit, light soil, and fine acidity. One of the better Nicolas Potel wines I've had from this era and showing no signs of 2000 frailty 22 years on.

September 27, 2020 - Very enjoyable and in a good place. Dark fruit and cherry, nice spice. Tannins resolved and a pleasing lingered finish.

March 15, 2013 - Meaty, masculine, with body and power, and firm tannins. The fruit is mature, but not yet fading. No reason to wait, but equally no rush. Dg-

March 3, 2013 - Initially this is bright on the nose as well as good acidity on taste. Cranberry notes mixed with the beginnings of the tertiary notes of sous-bois. After 2-3 hours this continually changed. I doubted its Grand Cru provenance until it started evolving. In the end a complex nose of black raspberry, kirsch, cardamon, and coffee in a subtle but elegant dance. It takes time for this to come out. The taste is bright with good acidity: blackberry, black raspberry flavors that open up on the palate with good intensity. Finish not as long as I would like but decent intensity. Tannins still have a bit to go so this will continue to last for a bit. Very elegant subtle wine.
